Up: Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints

Mark Ingram has been a major bright spot for the New Orleans Saints in what has been a disappointing season so far, and he has given the fan base a reason to believe that he is the future at running back. Throughout the last three games that he has played, Ingram has rushed for 172, 100, and 120 yards in those three games respectively and has scored three touchdowns combined.

New Orleans’ offense simply hasn’t looked like many expected it to this season, and Drew Brees has been a major disappointment as well. Ingram has been the most consistent piece of the offense recently, and he is without a doubt trending up across the league. It will be intriguing to see if he is able to keep this type of performance up through the rest of the season.

Needless to say, the Saints need anything and everything that they can get from Ingram this year to get back on track. The rushing attack is something that they haven’t had for awhile, and Ingram has shown that he can make plays when they need him to. He’ll continue to get touches over the next seven games, and they’ll be expecting him to keep his 100-yard performances coming as long as they give him the same type of carries.
