Up: Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants

The New York Giants drafted wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. this past offseason, and little did they know that he would be forced into as big of a role as he has found himself in this year. He has had to step up due to the injury that put Victor Cruz out for the season, and has come through in a big way over the past couple of weeks.

Beckham has caught 25 passes for 370 yards and three touchdowns throughout the course of the season, but most of that production has come in the past two weeks. Last week against the Seahawks, Beckham caught seven passes for 108 yards, and the week before against Indianapolis he caught eight passes for 156 yards. Those two games are the majority of his production on the season, and the Giants are beginning to see how much potential he has moving forward.

There is no doubt that he has “star” potential, and the Giants’ organization is extremely excited. Eli Manning has needed another legitimate target for awhile now, and it appears that he may have found his man in the former LSU standout. Beckham vowed to step up in a big way for New York when Cruz went down, and he hasn’t disappointed thus far.
