Wide Receivers

Start: While Jordy Nelson gets most of the attention, Randall Cobb has found the end zone in six straight games and has 10 touchdowns in the Packers in nine games.  In a great matchup against the Eagles who allow the third-most fantasy points to opposing WR, expect big games for Cobb and Nelson in week 11.  Tampa Bay has allowed more points to opposing WR than any team this year which should lead to a nice day for DeSean Jackson who has emerged as the top threat in Washington.  On the other side of that same matchup, look for Mike Evans to continue his momentum from his last two games in which he put up almost identical seven-catch games going for 124 and 125 yards with two and one touchdown.  Another rookie receiver on a tear, Martavis Bryant has found the end zone in all four of his NFL starts and takes on the Titans on Monday Night Football this week as a solid flex play. (last week: Kelvin Benjamin, Percy Harvin, Odell Beckham Jr.)

Sit: Although the results have been dismal for the team, the Raiders secondary has actually posted relatively solid overall numbers.  This week, I’d stay away from Keenan Allen as a result as the Chargers face Oakland for the second time this season.  Allen only had three catches for 27 yards in the team’s first meeting and hasn’t topped 100 yards since week four.  He only has one touchdown on the season which came against Denver week 8, and he hasn’t produced much even though he is drawing plenty of targets.  Another top receiver who has been struggling lately, Andre Johnson comes back off his bye week with a new QB in Ryan Mallett.  The veteran WR had been struggling going into the break with just 12 yards on two catches in week nine and not reaching 100 yards in any game this season. (last week: Mike Wallace, Michael Crabtree)

Sleeper:  Quietly Anquan Boldin has put together a very nice run for the 49ers.  He  has six or seven catches in his last four games and has a touchdown and 90 yards in three of those four games.  He isn’t flashy or ready to explode for a big game, but he’s a contributor you can count on if you need WR help for week 11.   No receiver has come to represent rolling the dice more than Cordarrelle Patterson this season.  Coming off a bye week of work with Teddy Bridgewater and hopefully getting fully healthy, there are plenty of reasons to think you can “hit” with this gamble for Sunday against a weak Bears secondary. (last week: Martivis Bryant, Justin Hunter)
