Can the Cincinnati Bengals rebound?

Nobody is completely sure what happened during the epic collapse against the Cleveland Browns last week—we just know it was ugly.

The Bengals looked horribly unprepared against the Browns, which was shocking considering how they have played this season.

Or is it? This is a team which has beat up on some bad teams, allowed Jacksonville to score 23 points on it and has been blown out not just by the Browns, but by the Patriots and Colts as well.

Now, injuries to running backs and defensive players (as well as a long stretch without A.J. Green) have made it harder, but there are some games that are hard to explain in there.

That they managed to sweep the Ravens may say more about how inconsistent the Ravens have been than how good the Bengals have been.

Speaking of inconsistent, how about Andy Dalton? Currently ranked as the No. 23 quarterback by Pro Football Focus, Dalton has had some great moments but far too many bad ones as well. In fact, over the last three weeks he has thrown six interceptions compared to just two touchdowns. He threw three last week against the Browns, but that was nowhere near as troubling as the two he threw against the Jaguars.

It sometimes seems as if the Bengals win as much despite their quarterback as they do because of him this season.
