Tight Ends

Coby Fleener-Indianapolis Colts

No where was the weirdness of week 11 felt more than at the tight end position where there were some mind-bending results and plenty of surprises.  The unexpected results start right at the top with Fleener who had been passed as a fantasy weapon by his teammate Dwayne Allen.  Fleener had a huge night against New England, though, catching seven passes for 144 yards although he didn’t get into the end zone.

Jermaine Gresham-Cincinnati Bengals

Gresham also had a huge game out of nowhere and had a monster game even though he only two catches.  His two catches went for just 13 yards but both ended with the Bengals TE in the end zone helping Cincy get their big road win.

Rob Gronkowski-New England Patriots

The only expected option on this list, Gronk found the end zone in the Patriots win on Sunday night catching four of his five targets for 71 yards and the late score.

Larry Donnell-New York Giants

Donnell showed he can still be a useful fantasy option when his QB Eli Manning is showcasing his ability to throw to the other team.  Donnell finished with the Giants only touchdown of the game and had three catches for 54 yards.

Garrett Graham-Houston Texans

The only other tight end in the league that had multiple catches and a touchdown was Garrett Graham who caught a pair of passes for 34 yards.  He did catch the touchdown which does make him intriguing from a fantasy perspective in Ryan Mallett’s new-look Texans offense.
