1. Denver Nuggets

This is especially tough to swallow for me because I wrote on multiple occasions about how good Denver would be.

I was so wrong, but I wasn’t the only one.

On paper, the Nuggets should be a good team. They are deep at every position and they have some really talented players. Unfortunately, that’s not all it takes to win.

Denver’s been a disaster. They have no identity, and head coach Brian Shaw seems like he’s lost complete control of the team. Denver looks disinterested and is just going through the motions so far this season. There’s no sense of urgency either. It feels like the Nuggets season is already over before it really even started. It’s very weird, but there’s only one solution because of how much money Denver has invested into these players.

Solution: Fire Brian Shaw.

Obviously, firing George Karl was a mistake, but keeping the majority of the roster from Karl’s 2012 team was another major mistake. How could these guys respect Shaw after Karl just led them to 57 wins and the third-seed in the West?

Shaw has got to go for this team to reach its potential.

What Will Actually Happen: Unless the front office wants to admit their mistake, firing Shaw is out of the question. I think the Nuggets will start trading off all their major pieces. Anyone will be available, and then they’ll start the rebuilding process.
