Green Bay “Roethlisbergers” for Second Straight Week

Take note of this: Aaron Rodgers really is a “bad man.”  And the Green Bay Packers are really, really good right now.

Green Bay scored over 50 points for the second straight week, defeating the Eagles 53-20 at Lambeau Field on Sunday.  Last week on Sunday Night Football, Green Bay scored 55 on the Chicago Bears.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw six touchdowns in Weeks 8 and 9, before getting shut down by the Jets last week.  Rodgers has led the Packers to similar dominance in Weeks 10 and 11, effectively “Roethlisberger-ing.”

Although it’s predicted that the Cardinals would represent the NFC in Super Bowl XLIX, the Packers could give Arizona a run for their money for a spot in the Super Bowl.

Green Bay has absolutely destroyed their opponents at home, outscoring them 128-9 in the past four first halves, going into the locker room at halftime up 30-7 over Philly on Sunday. They became the first team in NFL history to score 28 or more in the first half of the past six home games, setting a new Packers record and are now tied with Detroit for the top spot in the NFC North after Detroit’s loss to Arizona on Sunday.

With a key divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, expect the trend of 28-or-more points in the first half to continue against the Vikings, and the 50-points or more trend to continue as well.

In fact, given Minnesota’s season, let’s see if the Packers could drop 60 on the Vikes on Sunday.

Any takers on that bet?
