Oakland Still Really, Really Sucks

For those wondering, the Oakland Raiders were officially eliminated from playoff contention following their 13-6 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.  The Raiders are 0-10 and the playoff elimination in Week 11 is the earliest a team has been mathematically out since the 2004 Dolphins started 1-9.

It was a sad scene in San Diego as Raider Nation was hoping that a seven game win streak would help Oakland sneak into the playoffs.

Oakland looked like a team that was about to be relegated from the NFL to the FXFL on Sunday, producing just 223 yards, failed to score a touchdown for the second time this season and failed to score more than 14 points for three straight games, nothing new considering that Oakland is dead last in total yards and rushing yards.  Of its seven first-half possessions, the Raiders went three-and-out with the first play from scrimmage resulting in a fumbled snap.

The Raiders are so bad, (how bad are they?!) that the 2008 Lions would give them a run for the money.

At this point, with Oakland’s magic number to a winless season at six games, people might want to see the two teams play each other, to a 3-3 tie after overtime.

It’s come to a point that anyone would feel bad if they lost to Oakland.  It’s come to a point that if the Raiders won a game, especially at home, (maybe against San Francisco) that there will be riots and a parade afterward.

The Raiders are just bad.
