Winner: Chicago Bears

Nobody needed a win like the Bears needed a win.

After losing four out of the last five games and beset on all sides by doubters and pressure, after locker room yelling and on-field meltdowns, the Bears needed the sun to break through the clouds.

It wasn’t perfect by any stretch, as Jay Cutler turned the ball over twice, but the defense showed up against an admittedly young and inconsistent Vikings offense, while Alshon Jefferey and Brandon Marshall had their best games in a month.

On top of that, Matt Forte continues to be one of the most productive backs in the NFL this season, with over 117 yards on the ground as well as another 58 yards on six catches.

Next week should be another win against a bad Tampa Bay team, but the Bears cannot look past the Buccaneers.

After all, it was just last week that Chicago looked like the sure win on everyone’s schedule.
