Tre Mason-RB-St. Louis Rams (41.3%)

Mason has emerged as the lead rusher in the Rams backfield timeshare and erased any doubt of that with a huge 29-carry workload against the Broncos on Sunday.  The Heisman finalist from Auburn last season has clearly been the most potent back for Jeff Fisher’s offense and should continue to see plenty of work the next few weeks.

Mason has proven his ability against some solid defenses rushing well against the 49ers, Cardinals, and Broncos the last three weeks.  The one downside of Mason’s performances is his struggle to get into the end zone.  He has just one touchdown this season and has had his touchdowns vultured on multiple occasions by Benny Cunningham.  Mason does get goal line work, but that hasn’t translated to touchdowns yet which doe still make him a high-risk play on any given week.

Mason and the Rams do have some favorable matchups coming up with the Chargers, Raiders, and Giants on the schedule for the remaining fantasy weeks (up to week 16).  There are also a couple of tough matchups against the Redskins and Cardinals, but Mason has proven he can produce and could be an elite option if he starts getting more frequent trips to the end zone.
