Ryan Tannehill-QB-Miami Dolphins (46.7%)

Tannehill has quietly put together a very solid second season in Miami and has risen towards the top of the QB2 options.  If you play in a dual-QB league or are using a rotation at the position, Tannehill makes a nice pickup coming down the stretch as a consistent contributor even though he doesn’t post the gigantic numbers in a single outing that some options may give you.

So far this season, Tannehill is the #10 QB just behind Philip Rivers in scoring and ahead of Matt Ryan, Colin Kaepernick, Matthew Stafford, and Cam Newton.  He has thrown at least one touchdown in every one of Miami’s games this season and has multiple touchdown passes in five of his last seven games.  He has yet to reach the 300 yard threshold but his lowest yardage since week one was 196 yards.  Tannehill has also been productive running the ball at times this season with 40 or more rushing yards in four games.

The upcoming schedule looks good for Tannehill which is why he’s the top QB on the waiver wire week 12 pickups.  He takes on the Broncos this week followed by the Jets and Ravens all of whom rank in the bottom half of the league in opposing QB points allowed.  The Broncos have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing QB’s and the Jets the most, so especially these next two weeks look for Tannehill to contribute some very usable numbers.
