Josh McCown-QB-Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8.1%)

McCown started the season with big expectations after signing as a free agent to become new Head Coach Lovie Smith’s starting QB in Tampa. Things didn’t start out well for McCown, though, and he was forced to leave week three with a thumb injury he sustained in Tampa’s Thursday Night Football beatdown at the hands of the Falcons.  McCown’s replacement Mike Glennon played well at first and held the job through week nine when the team decided to go back to McCown as their starter which was yielded positive results the last two weeks.

In week 10, McCown almost beat the Falcons but fell just short with a pass picked off in the end zone as the team was driving for potentially the winning score.  He still finished with a pair of touchdowns and 301 yards, but his two turnovers proved costly.  Last week, the Bucs went into Washington and beat RG3 in his first home start since his ankle injury, and McCown again looked like a solid QB2 option or a rotation play for your fantasy team.  He threw for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but he was able to eliminate the interceptions.

This week, McCown takes on the porous Bears secondary who all the third-most points to opposing QB’s.  Look for him to continue to find some solid success as he returns to Chicago in what will be a bit of a grudge-match for both him and Lovie as they return to Soldier Field.
