Iron Banner Returns Today For Destiny

With the Iron Banner returning today for Destiny, there is also some new rewards being introduced into the game.

Bungie saw some pretty harsh criticism for their Iron Banner event in Destiny the first time around. With the newest update, the Iron Banner is set to be a much tougher experience this time around. Considering the increased level of difficulty, Guardians will likely be intrigued by the new rewards they can get their hands on as well.

Previously, the Iron Banner allowed you to hit rank 3, that has now been raised to rank 5 for the second coming of the event. On top of the increased rank inside of the event itself, there are a handful of new rewards being offered by Lord Saladin as well.

Thanks to Bungie, we have a nice look at what each rank will open up to you.

Thus far, the Iron Banner rollout has been a little bit rocky. With the latest patch causing some PlayStation 3 users the inability to connect to the game, and some exotic weapons to significantly change their output, Bungie is looking at potential fixes already.

At any rate, once the Iron Banner is live and the issues are smoothed out for everyone, expect a significantly different experience this time around. No long will anyone lower than level 20 be invited into the event without a higher level as the lead of their fireteam.

Bungie has also promised that this time around, they have taken a more concerted effort to putting the strength of your weapons and gear as the focus of the outcome.
