No. 24-21

24. Josh McCown – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+4)

If you had asked me who was going to have the better game between Josh McCown and RG3 in their head to head match up last week I would have wagered a decent amount of money that it would be RG3. Thankfully, I didn’t have any money on it because McCown played circles around him. McCown averaged over 19 yards per completion and it looks like he and Mike Evans could be developing something special.

23. Kyle Orton – Buffalo Bills (-2)

If you just look at his numbers you can make a case for Orton being ranked higher than this, but if you watch him play you don’t come away overly impressed. He’s a solid short term solution for the Bills, but his ceiling as a player is relatively low.

22. Mark Sanchez – Philadelphia Eagles (-2)

Mark Sanchez put up a lot of yards on Sunday, but showed he wasn’t quite ready to run with the big dogs as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers put a spanking on the Eagles. I still think I like Sanchez as the Philly QB over Nick Foles, but he’s got some growing to do in that offense.

21. Drew Stanton – Arizona Cardinals (+3)

Normally when a team has to go to their backup QB the game plan involves shorter and safer passes, but that’s not the case with Drew Stanton. Not only did he lead the Cardinals to an impressive win over the Detroit Lions, but he’s doing it by throwing the ball down the field. Of the the 32 QBs on this list Stanton has the longest “air yards” per completion number with 10.7. That means his average completion hits the target 10.7 yards past the line of scrimmage. That’s pretty impressive.
