No. 4-1

4. Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts

Andrew Luck’s year looks a lot like that of his predecessor in Indianapolis. Luck is putting up a very “Manning-like” season in that he’s got a ton of yards and TDs that he’s accumulating. He leads the league in yards per game and is tied for second in TDs. While he’s having one of the best seasons of any QB, he’ll need more than just big totals to overtake the top guys on this list. A loss to Tom Brady and the Pats keeps him holding steady in the four spot.

3. Peyton Manning – Denver Broncos

Peyton is still clearly one of the best in the game, but with three consecutive games with two interceptions (two of those games loses) Manning can no longer make a case for the top overall spot on the list. You can make a solid argument that it’s Peyton’s line play and injuries to his playmakers that have caused the current slump (if you can even call it that), but even Manning’s biggest supporters will likely admit that while he’s still great he isn’t on the same record setting level that he was last season.

2. Tom Brady – New England Patriots

Tom Brady may not have had a better statistical night than Andrew Luck, but in consecutive games Brady has now disposed of the two most prolific passers this season (Luck and Peyton). In the six games since the Patriots got dismantled by the Chiefs on Monday Night Football and Brady was declared washed up, he has proceeded to pass for 310 yards per game with 20 TDs and only 3 INTs. The Pats now have the second best record in all of football and while the entire team is playing well, Brady’s play is at the heart of the turnaround.

1. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers

Last week when I moved Aaron Rodgers into the top spot on the list I at least took some time to think it over as both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning had strong cases as well. This week there is no debate, Rodgers is the clear number one and I don’t see how anyone could argue otherwise. You can back it up with numbers: 28 TDs to only 3 INTs, 120.1 QB rating, 85.9 QBR, +27.8 Pro Football Focus grade, etc. Frankly, if you’ve been watching Rodgers play these past few weeks you don’t need any numbers to justify his top spot on this list. He’s been playing out of his mind and as long as he continues this hot streak it will be nearly impossible for anyone to overtake him.

So there is your QB Power Rankings for this week. What do you think? Anyone too high? Anyone too low? If you think so, I’d love to know what order you would rank them in. Feel free to let me know in the comments below.
