Tennessee Titans at Philadelphia Eagles

The Titans are averaging 16.8 points per game. The Eagles are averaging 29.9 points per game. The game is in Philadelphia. I’m not sure we need to analyze this game much more than that. While I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how Zach Mettenberger has played thus far, I’m not ready to predict that he’ll go into Philly and outscore Chip Kelly’s high powered offense.

Detroit Lions at New England Patriots

The records of these two teams would give the impression that this will be a great game, but I’m not so sure. In the Pats last two games they outscored two of the NFL’s top offenses (the Colts and Broncos) by a combined score of 85-41. If those two prolific offenses couldn’t keep pace with the red hot Patriots, I’m not sure I’d put much faith in a Detroit offense that’s only averaging 18.8 points per game to go into Foxboro and get the job done. The Lions defense should keep them in it, but I’ll take New England.
