Running Back Busts

Denard Robinson-Jacksonville Jaguars: Robinson was bottled up on the ground running for just 25 yards on 14 carries.  He added 47 yards on his four catches but didn’t get into the end zone this week either on the ground or through the air.

Jonas Gray-New England Patriots: Gray’s big game last week didn’t get him any special treatment this week, and the star running back from last week missed practice on Friday resulting in him not playing a single snap this week against the Lions. Owners who started him this week won’t be thrilled with the goose-egg, but he’ll be back-provided his alarm works.

Alfred Blue-Houston Texans: Even though Arian Foster was inactive, Blue couldn’t follow up last week’s big game.  He only managed 46 yards on his 16 carries while adding 20 yards on his three catches.

Frank Gore-San Francisco 49ers: Gore and the 49ers pulled out a win on Sunday against the Redskins but it wasn’t a pretty one.  Gore only had 36 yards on his 13 carries and didn’t catch a pass.  He lost a fumble which negated his value in many leagues, and he had another touchdown vultured by Carlos Hyde at the end of the game.

Bishop Sankey-Tennessee Titans: Even though Sankey keeps getting the majority of the workload in the Titans backfield, he hasn’t been able to turn it into fantasy success. This week he only managed 37 yards on his ten carries while losing a short touchdown to Shonn Greene and a receiving touchdown to Dexter McCluster.  Sankey will get the touches but may not have much value in the coming weeks.

Charles Sims-Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Sims is caught in time share and Doug Martin took 11 carries in his return while Sims only got six.  He did run for 22 yards and added a pair of catches for 11 more yards, but he’s clearly not enough of a factor to be considered for fantasy at this point in his career.
