9. Alvan Adams

13 seasons, 14.1 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 4.1 APG, 1.3 SPG, .498/.133/.788 shooting, 18.3 PER

Sure, Alvan Adams peaked in his rookie season when he averaged 19 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game en route to a well-deserved All-Star nod and Rookie of the Year Award. But by spending all 13 of his NBA seasons in Phoenix, Adams made his place on the Suns’ all-time leaders lists well known.

Adams is the franchise’s leader in games played (988), minutes (27,203), rebounds (6,937), steals (1,289) and defensive win shares (43.6). He ranks in the top five in field goals, free throws, assists, blocks and win shares, and he’s also the Suns’ second all-time leading scorer with 13,910 points. As a rookie, he was a crucial part of that ’76 Suns team that went to the Finals.

Adams’ final couple of seasons in the league hurt his overall numbers, but based on his lengthy tenure in Phoenix and the versatile impact he had on the court, he still works his way into our top 10. Adams’ No. 33 was retired by the Suns, though he granted (get it?) Grant Hill permission to wear his jersey number after Phoenix signed him as a free agent.
