7. Connie Hawkins

5 seasons, 20.5 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 4.3 APG, 1.0 SPG, .466/—/.797 shooting, 18.4 PER

Out of all the players on this list, Connie Hawkins might have had the most style. Though most of his glory days came in the ABA, “The Hawk” was still excellent during his four-plus seasons with the Phoenix Suns (he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers eight games into his fifth season with the team). During his time in Phoenix, Hawkins averaged a well-rounded 20-9-4 stat line.

In his first season with the Suns, Hawkins was at his best, putting up 20.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. He carried the Suns in a first-round playoff series with the Los Angeles Lakers — sporting the likes of Jerry West, Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain — by averaging an incredible 25 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists per game for the series.

The Hawk made the All-Star team in all four of his full seasons with the Suns, so even though his NBA career was pretty limited, this Hall of Famer deserved to have his No. 42 jersey retired.
