4. Shawn Marion

9 seasons, 18.4 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.9 SPG, 1.4 BPG, .481/.342/.824 shooting, 20.9 PER

As an athletic scoring wing, superb rebounder and stellar defender, Shawn Marion might be the most well-rounded player to ever suit up for the Phoenix Suns. Though he would have to wait until he joined the Dallas Mavericks to win a title, The Matrix could play either small forward or power forward and was the perfect glue guy for a regular Western Conference contender.

Marion appeared in four All-Star games as a Sun and made two All-NBA Third Teams. During the 2005-06 season, The Matrix filled in for an injured Amar’e Stoudemire, leading the team in points (21.8), rebounds (11.8), steals (2.0) and blocks (1.7) and per game. He was also the only player in the league ranked in the top 20 in points, rebounds, blocks, steals, field goal percentage and minutes.

After nine seasons with the Suns, Marion ranks first all-time in total win shares (93.2), second in rebounds and steals and third in blocks for the franchise. He’s also fourth in scoring with 12,134 points. Because of his athleticism, defensive prowess and do-it-all mentality, Marion is easily one of the greatest Phoenix Suns of all time.
