Daniel Herron-RB-Indianapolis Colts (15.1%)

With Ahmad Bradshaw done for the season, “Boom” Herron got the start and the majority of the workload in the Indianapolis backfield over a still-struggling Trent Richardson.  Herron looked decent with 65 yards on his 12 carries and adding 31 more yards on five catches.  He was much more effective than Richardson and appears to be in line for a nice role in the Colts high-power offense.

The Colts will always be pass-heavy as long as they have Andrew Luck, but Herron should at least get half the workload and could quickly earn a much larger share.  The only issue for Herron is that he is a bit fumble-prone, although a red-zone fumble last week didn’t result in him being relegated to the bench.  It’s a concern to monitor, but not a large enough issue to avoid picking him up at this point.

Herron and the Colts finish the fantasy season with the Redskins, Browns, Texans, and Cowboys–all of whom represent pretty solid matchups.  Herron doesn’t quite have the upside of Latavius Murray, but he’s a solid low-end RB2 that should quickly be owned in all leagues for the close of the season.
