Brett Brown’s squad is not favored to win in any of their remaining games, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
That is truly pathetic, but one shouldn’t really be all that surprised. The Sixers are the league’s worst team and it isn’t even all that close.
En route to an 0-14 start, the 76ers have allowed opponents to outscore them by an average of 16.0 points per game. To put that in perspective: the awful Los Angeles Lakers are second worst in point-differential, yet get outscored by 5.4 fewer points per game than Philly does.
The 76ers rank dead last in offensive efficiency, scoring a putrid 92.2 points per 100 possessions, and 25th in defensive efficiency, allowing 108.7 points per 100 possessions.
The 76ers have a legitimate chance to finish as the worst team in NBA history.
It will truly be an embarrassment for whichever team ultimately gives Philadelphia its first win on the season.
The 76ers’ next contest is against the Brooklyn Nets at home on Wednesday. If the Sixers are able to get in the win column then, there needs to be a camera fixated on Kevin Garnett as the final buzzer sounds just to see how much he loses his mind.
