No. 28-25

28. Teddy Bridgewater – Minnesota Vikings – Power Ranking Score: 185.6 (+3)

Bridgewater is up a few spots this week with the implementation of the new scoring system. He’s held his own thus far as a rookie. He hasn’t been spectacular, but he is playing well enough to give the Vikings hope that they have found their long term solution at the position.

27. Robert Griffin III – Washington Redskins – Power Ranking Score: 186.2 (+2)

You may be asking how its possible that Griffin would even rank this high with how poorly he’s been playing lately. What has Griffin ahead of several of the others in this range is his accuracy. His 80.2% accuracy on aimed throws is the second highest on this list and about 10% higher than the other QBs in this range.

26. Zach Mettenberger – Tennessee Titans – Power Ranking Score: 191.9 (+2)

Mettenberger is slowly pulling himself out of the bottom tier of QBs. While his accuracy score may not be great, that is in part due to the types of throws he is making. His 9.3 “air yards” per completion is the second highest average on this list. I wasn’t a believer in Mettenberger, but he’s slowly changing my mind.

25. Josh McCown – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Power Ranking Score: 200.4 (-1)

I just mentioned that Mettenberger had the second highest “air yards” per completion average of all the QBs on this list and that’s because Josh McCown is number one. I guess when your only real offensive weapons are Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans you don’t have much choice but to throw one down the field for them to go get.
