The Armchair Quarterback’s Guide To The NFL: Week 13
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
I’ve been picking the Bears to win all season because I look at their offensive weapons and go “Oh yeah, they have to be able to outscore the other team”, but by this point in the season you are what you are and the Bears are only averaging 21.5 points per game. The Lions offense may not be very good, but their defense is. I just don’t trust the Bears to put up points in this one and I think Megatron should be good for a TD or two against the Chicago secondary. It’ll be a happy turkey day in Detroit this year.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
I think this Philly at Dallas game is the perfect Thanksgiving afternoon game. When you hit the couch after that big afternoon meal if you’re watching a defensive slug fest you’re going to be asleep before you even get a chance to eat that second piece of pie. This game should feature high flying passing attacks that may just keep that turkey induced coma at bay for a while. In years past it would have sounded crazy to say that you trust Tony Romo to be the QB that comes out the winner in a back and forth shoot out, but given how he’s played so far this season and the fact that his counterpart is Mark Sanchez, I feel pretty good about putting my pick on Romo and the Cowboys.
