The Armchair Quarterback’s Guide To The NFL: Week 13
Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last week the Bucs hung with the Bears for a while before Chicago eventually pulled away and won. I can actually see this game being pretty similar. The problem for Tampa Bay is that you really need to attack the Cincy defense with a strong run game and that’s something the Bucs simply don’t have. Meanwhile the Bengals do have a strong pass defense to combat Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans. I think eventually the Bengals pull away in Tampa.

Oakland Raiders at St. Louis Rams
I have to give the Raiders credit, they took it to my beloved Chiefs on Thursday night in route to their first win of the season. So will they pull off the sweep of the Missouri teams? (Yes, Kansas City is in Missouri, at least part of it, the Chiefs play in the Missouri part, moving on) Anyway, I just don’t see the Raiders pulling off another one here. Derek Carr has done a great job for a rookie at avoiding pressure, but the combination of rookie sensation Aaron Donald coming up the middle and Robert Quinn coming off the edge may prove to be too much for him. It will be a close game, but I’ll take the Rams.
