Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

Homer Alert: Yes, I am picking my favorite team to knock off Peyton Manning and the Broncos on Sunday night. Could this be the wishful thinking of a delusional fan boy? Yes, that’s possible, but hear me out. The Chiefs are coming off a crushing loss in Oakland AND the tragic news that All Pro safety Eric Berry is lost for the season as he battles a possible cancer diagnosis. While both of those things are setbacks for the Chiefs they will also both add a huge amount of fuel to their fire heading into this game. The Broncos are going to find themselves facing a very hungry and very motivated Chiefs team. Then you add a charged up prime time crowd in the loudest stadium in the NFL AND the fact that Andy Reid has a fantastic record in games where he had extra time to prepare and I believe that the Chiefs win this one and pull even with the Broncos in the AFC West.

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets

After the great Thanksgiving games, Pats vs Packers, and Chiefs vs Broncos on Sunday night this Dolphins vs Jets match up on Monday night seems a little anti-climactic. The Jets can’t score and are going back to Geno Smith at quarterback who apparently learned how to not be terrible by watching Michael Vick play terrible for a couple of weeks (makes sense, right?). Oh, and by the way, they are facing a Dolphins defense that is amongst the league leaders in points allowed, yards allowed, passing yards allowed, and sacks. I almost feel sorry for Rex Ryan…….ALMOST.

So there are your picks for all the week 13 NFL games. I hope your Thanksgiving week is a blessed one and may you get your fill of all the food, family, friends, and football that your heart desires.

Thanks for reading.
