4) Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota has easily the best winning percentage of the teams included on this list, but that is about where the positives stop for Flip Saunders and his squad. The T-Wolves are playing without Ricky Rubio, and that should be considered due to the fact that he is their engine offensively while adding above-average defensive acumen at an important position. However, even with Rubio in the lineup, this team would be firmly bound for the upper lottery.

The Wolves are an atrocity defensively, ranking 29th in the NBA (ahead of only the Lakers), and even with Rubio for part of the season, the offense isn’t much better. Admittedly, it is far more enjoyable to watch the likes of Andrew Wiggins, Thad Young and Anthony Bennett patrol the floor than some other combinations in the league, but as a team, Minnesota simply isn’t very competitive right now.

It will be exceedingly interesting to see how this young core gels, especially when Rubio returns, but for now, they will continue to toil near the bottom of the association.
