Ryan Mathews, RB, San Diego Chargers

It’s been another injury-riddled season for San Diego Chargers’ running back Ryan Mathews, and while it does sound like Mathews will be healthy enough to go on Sunday despite a shoulder injury, don’t expect much from Mathews in Week 13.

The five-year man may have looked good against the St. Louis Rams’ 18th-ranked run defense last week, but he faces a different monster this Sunday in the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore boasts the NFL’s No. 6 rushing defense, and the Ravens haven’t allowed a running back to rush for more than 68 yards against them this season.

What’s more impressive about that stat is the fact that Baltimore has faced Le’Veon Bell and Giovani Bernard twice and held them in check both times.

I think the Chargers will find themselves down early in this one, and they’re certainly not going to try and establish the run against the Ravens when they’re down.

It’s another subpar day for Mathews.
