AFC North

In stark contrast to the decimation represented by the NFC South, the AFC North is filled with teams playing very well.

The Cincinnati Bengals have a half game lead on everyone else, standing at 7-3-1 with the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns all sitting at 7-4.

There is a strong chance every team wins today – two of the teams face NFC South patsies, while Cleveland should beat the Buffalo Bills, leaving the only question mark the Ravens taking on the San Diego Chargers. If that occurs, we might see a shift where the division order stays the same but, if Kansas City loses to Denver and Baltimore beats San Diego, two of the AFC North teams will be in the Wild Card spots.

It still leaves at least one team (in this case, the Browns) sitting at home wondering why things shook out this way.

Of course, that could also change again next week, making the AFC North the most intriguing division in the AFC and one of the most interesting in all of the NFL.
