NFC West

While the NFC West doesn’t have all four teams in the hunt like the AFC North (thanks for nothing St. Louis), it still has a very tight race.

Seattle and San Francisco have already played, with the Seahawks taking command of second place in the division and, for now, a Wild Card spot, but the two teams meet again in a couple of weeks, so that matter is far from settled.

Really the team to watch on Sunday is the Arizona Cardinals, who should beat the Atlanta Falcons easily. Coach Bruce Arians has done a great job with his team. especially given the constant spate of injuries which continue to happen to the quarterback position.

Injuries which make the idea that the Cardinals will continue to hold onto the top spot in the West hard to fathom, especially with Seattle finally playing like the Super Bowl champs they are.

As with the AFC North, this division is likely to come down to the wire and there is a strong chance at least one team, though perhaps two, will miss the playoffs entirely, even though they have good records.

So none of the three top teams in the NFC West will take a game for granted, which is why we expect Arizona to win Sunday.
