New England vs. Green Bay

Some are calling this a preview of the Super Bowl, and while we won’t go that far, it is intriguing.

Both teams are playing tremendous football and lead their divisions. The Patriots have control of the AFC, and the Packers are close to the top in the NFC as well.

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are two of the best quarterbacks in football, the Packers offense is humming, as is the Patriots defense and these teams are likely going to go pretty far in the playoffs.

If nothing else this is an excellent barometer for both teams to see where they are at right now. New England has steamrolled every quality team they have faced since they got hammered by Kansas City in a game that seems years ago. Green Bay stumbled a little early, but has been plowing through their own slate of games.

We’ve expected great games when New England takes on a top team before, but in the case of the games against the Broncos and Lions, the games turned out to be blowouts.

Hopefully Sunday’s game will be a much tighter affair.
