1. All-Around Playmaking Ability

Perhaps the most obvious plus about Manziel’s game is the playmaking ability that he possesses. He may not always make the right decision, but he showed in college that he can make plays with both his arm and his legs. That was exactly what he showed the Browns during his debut against Buffalo. Whether it was completing five out of his eight passing attempts for 63 yards, or scampering in from ten yards out for his first career touchdown.

Cleveland is in a desperate spot where they need a quarterback who can makes plays and win football games. Hoyer has won seven games this year, but he simply hasn’t done so with ease and it hasn’t necessarily been Hoyer getting the job done for the Browns either. Manziel would bring the type of energy and playmaking that Cleveland has needed, and it’s one of the reasons that he might very well take over in the near future.

There are some concerns still surrounding Manziel’s maturity, but there is no denying his all-around talent. Hoyer has played solid football for the majority of the season, but he cannot match the upside and potential that Manziel has.
