It happens every year–some player from the waiver wire catches fire at the right time, faces some good matchups, and all the sudden becomes the difference maker in the fantasy playoffs.  One player who appears to be lined up for just such a timely surge is Saints receiver Kenny Stills who has been on our list for each of the last two weeks since Brandin Cooks sustained a season-ending injury.

Since Cooks departure, Stills has become the Saints primary receiver target.  He has caught a total of 13 passes in his two games piling up a total of 260 yards and getting into the end zone last week against Pittsburgh.  Jimmy Graham wasn’t even targeted this week against the Steelers, so it’s probably not fair to expect Stills to draw quite this much of Drew Brees’s focus each week.  However,  he is clearly ahead of Marques Colston as a fantasy producer and looks lined up for success.

In the next four weeks, Stills faces the Panthers, Bears, Falcons, and Buccaneers all of who have secondaries that are struggling.  Stills should be owned in all formats even if you have strong receivers since playing against him in the finals could be brutal.  For the rest of the way, I see Stills as a legitimate starter in almost all formats and a potential WR1 if he continues to draw so many targets from the high-octane, pass-first offense led by Drew Brees.
