Fantasy Football 2014: Week 14 Waiver Wire top 10 Pickups
Stedman Bailey-WR-St. Louis Rams (4.2%)
If Kenny Stills has already been grabbed off the wire and you’re looking for a chance to swing for the fences, check out the Rams new top receiver who has been on the rise the last few weeks after starting the season suspended. Stedman Bailey has the breakaway speed and shiftiness to take any play to the house, and Shaun Hill has been finding ways to get the ball into his hands as the Rams have gathered some offensive momentum thanks to Bailey and running back Tre Mason.
Bailey started out hot week 12 catching five passes for 100 yards in the first half against Oakland before taking it easy in the second half as the Rams cruised to victory. In the last two weeks, Bailey has totaled 189 yards on 12 catches and adding a touchdown. Going forward, the Rams should continue to throw the ball Bailey’s way early and often.
This week, he takes on the Redskins secondary which has struggled this season before coming home for a pair of games on the St. Louis turf against the Cardinals and Giants. Owners should try to avoid his week 17 matchup with Seattle, but he’s usable in his other three matchups as a high-risk, high-reward flier at your flex spot.
