Jordan Reed-TE-Washington Redskins (24.5%)

If you need a tight end, the pickings on the waiver wire have been slim for the last few weeks since there is a decided lack of depth at the position.  If you are looking on the week 14 waiver wire, your best bet is to take a chance on Jordan Reed based on the chemistry he demonstrated on Sunday with Redskins new QB Colt McCoy.

Reed has battled recurring injury and inconsistent quarterback play all season, and those issues will continue to be his challenge going forward.  On Sunday in Indianapolis, Reed showed his upside with a huge game piling up 123 yards on his nine catches while leading the team in targets with 11.

In his first start of the season, McCoy showed he’s very comfortable getting the ball to Reed, and Reed’s role could even increase this week with DeSean Jackson’s availability in question.  Either way, Reed will get plenty of targets and is a fringe TE1 even in a tough matchup against the Rams. After St. Louis, Reed and the Redskins finish with the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys–all who represent solid matchups for Reed.  He’s no lock with his injury issues and the QB questions, but he’s the best widely available option at this point in the season.
