Fantasy Football 2014: Week 14 Waiver Wire top 10 Pickups
Robert Woods-WR-Buffalo Bills (4.2%)
Sammy Watkins gets all the attention in Buffalo, but lately it’s been Robert Woods putting up the fantasy numbers for the Bills. That trend could continue this week and in the Bills’ favorable matchups in the next few weeks especially as Watkins battles through a hip injury.
In the last two weeks, Woods has pulled in 13 catches for a total of 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has led Buffalo in receiving yards in each of those games and has developed a nice connection with Kyle Orton. Orton’s play has been inconsistent and the Bills rely heavily on their defense, but there is definitely upside with Woods as he serves as teh team’s top receiver.
This week, Woods and the Bills take on the Broncos in Denver. Denver’s secondary has struggled to contain opposing WR, so Woods should be able to post some decent numbers. For the rest of the fantasy playoffs, Woods faces the Packers and Raiders who also present good enough matchups that he can be used as an emergency play at WR3 in most leagues.
