Instead of focusing on how that win against the Toronto Raptors came in Toronto’s first game without DeMar DeRozan, let’s just enjoy Kobe Bryant’s triple-double and remarkable accomplishment of being the only player in NBA history to reach 30,000 points and 6,000 assists. “Longevity” isn’t the right word to describe it, but “sustained greatness” is a lot closer. <p> </p> <p>Unfortunately, it doesn’t do much to distract from this team’s standing at the very bottom of the Western Conference and league-worst defense. Then again, if the Lakers’ 2015 draft pick falls outside the top five, it goes to the Phoenix Suns, so as much as the Black Mamba may be miserable this season, losing games is all for the greater good.
