8. Martellus Bennett, Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have been one of the most disappointing teams of the NFL season so far, but Martellus Bennett has had a big year. He has caught 65 passes for 737 yards and five touchdowns on the season, and he has done that without getting the number of targets that Jay Cutler probably should be giving him. Expect him to continue playing big throughout the remainder of the season.

7. Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers

Greg Olsen has had to step up in a big way this year for the Carolina Panthers, especially after they allowed nearly all of Cam Newton’s targets to leave in free agency. Unfortunately, the Panthers have still not been able to make up for all of the pieces lost, and they are one of the worst disappointments on the year. He has caught 61 passes for 778 yards and five touchdowns so far this year.

6. Larry Donnell, New York Giants

Larry Donnell has come through with a big season in his second year with the New York Giants, and has forced his name this high in the rankings. He has caught 51 passes for 516 yards and six touchdowns, and has shown no signs of slowing down. The Giants have been a major disappointment as a whole, but he has been one of the main bright spots.

5. Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck have been very happy with the play of their tight ends, and Dwayne Allen has been one of the more underrated tight ends in the league. He has missed some time with injuries, but has still caught 26 passes for 374 yards and seven touchdowns. At 24 years of age, Allen still has plenty of time left to grow into his full potential.
