No. 24-21

24. Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – Power Ranking Score: 201.8 (-3)

Cam Newton is having a bad year. He’s banged up. His line stinks. He has no run game to help take the pressure off him and his receivers still leave a lot to be desired. There may not be another QB in the NFL who needs the offseason to get here more.

23. Drew Stanton – Arizona Cardinals – Power Ranking Score: 203.7

Drew Stanton stays put this week, but I have a feeling its only a matter of time before he slides down the list more. Stanton is simply too limited to sustain much long term success. It would help his cause if the Cards could get a run game going, but that doesn’t appear to be happening any time soon.

22. Shaun Hill – St. Louis Rams – Power Ranking Score: 203.8 (+7)

Shaun Hill is actually this week’s biggest riser after helping lead the Rams to a crushing 52-0 win over the Raiders. I still don’t believe Hill has a future as the Rams starter, but he did show that he’s good enough to help them win some games in the meantime.

21. Andy Dalton – Cincinnati Bengals – Power Ranking Score: 219.3 (-3)

Dalton is down a few spots this week after a very unimpressive three interception day against the Buccaneers. The Bengals still found a way to pull out a close win, but it was a win in spite of Dalton not because of Dalton. It probably means the streaky Dalton is ready for another huge game next week.
