No. 16-13

16. Mark Sanchez – Philadelphia Eagles – Power Ranking Score: 225.3 (+4)

Thus far, Mark Sanchez has proven to be just as capable of running Chip Kelly’s high powered offense as Nick Foles was. Sanchez is trying to prove he deserves another shot at being a starting QB. If he continues to play like he has he may just end up being the long term QB in Philly.

15. Eli Manning – New York Giants – Power Ranking Score: 239.1

Eli holds steady at number fifteen after a disappointing loss to the Jaguars. I think it’s safe to say at this point that Eli is what he is. He’s good enough that he can get hot at any time and light teams up. He’s also flawed enough that when things start to go bad they can escalate quickly and lead to some truly horrific games.

14. Alex Smith – Kansas City Chiefs – Power Ranking Score: 243 (-1)

Alex Smith is down one spot this week mainly because a QB threw six TDs last week and leapfrogged him in the rankings. Smith continues to be a “safe” choice in Andy Reid’s offense, but his limitations mixed with a bad pass blocking line and poor options at receiver make Smith’s ceiling lower than many of the other QBs in this area.

13. Ryan Fitzpatrick – Houston Texans – Power Ranking Score: 250.9 (+6)

So did anyone see that six TD day from Fitzpatrick coming? I sure didn’t. What’s really interesting is that despite his reputation as a “weak armed” QB he is actually averaging a very solid eight air yards per completion. That’s the fifth highest of the QBs in these rankings.
