The Armchair Quarterback’s Guide To The NFL: Week 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
I’ll give the Buccaneers a little credit, they played the Bengals much closer than I expected last week. I actually think the Lions and Bengals are pretty similar teams and the Bucs actually went into Detroit last season and stole a game with some help from four Matt Stafford INTs. This time around I think the Lions have a better defense and should keep Tampa Bay under 20 points. Then on the other side of the ball I think Stafford and Calvin Johnson should be able to find enough big plays to get the job done.

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
Props to the Jaguars for pulling out their second win last week against Eli Manning and the New York Giants. I don’t see a report performance happening this week when the Texans come to town. Blake Bortles has been mistake prone some this year and I think JJ Watt may be able to wreak enough havoc to cause a few more in this one. I also think the Texans should be able to run the football against the Jags and if Ryan Fitzpatrick plays even remotely like he did last week then Houston should escape Jacksonville with a win.
