NBA Player Power Rankings: Anthony Davis Time!
By Bryce Olin
11. Kevin Love
17.9 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 2.2 APG, 19.0 PER
While it might be a tad premature to include Kevin Love in the top 15, his play over the last week has been stellar, and I think it signals the Cavs have turned the corner, at least on offense.
As I mentioned, Kyrie Irving is playing better, and the Cavs are getting Love the ball in positions he’s comfortable, which is the biggest difference in Love’s resurgence.
In his last five games, Love is averaging 22.2 points per game. Over that same stretch, Love has shot better than 50 percent from the field in four out of those five games.
I think it’s safe to say this is the guy Cleveland was expecting when they traded Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett for him.
