NFL: 5 Potential Landing Spots For Robert Griffin III
By Evan Massey
4. St. Louis Rams
How fitting would it be for the St. Louis Rams to acquire Robert Griffin III after getting three first-round picks in return for him from the Washington Redskins in the first place? Quite simply, it would be an absolute steal for the Rams and they would still have the guy that they would have drafted if they had kept the pick rather than dealing it.
St. Louis could desperately use a long-term answer at the quarterback position, with both Austin Davis and Shaun Hill not being viable franchise quarterbacks looking ahead into the future. Griffin may not end up being one either, but he has the talent and potential to get to that point. There are plenty of reasons to make this trade for the Rams, and they would likely hold a conversation or two if he became available.
It would be extremely fitting for the Rams to end up being the team that brings him on board. He would be the exact type of energy that the Rams have needed at the quarterback position, and he would have a lot of deadly weapons and a good running game with the emergence of Tre Mason. Don’t be surprised to see the Rams show interest if the Redskins are serious about trading Griffin.
