22. (TIE) Tom Fears, Los Angeles Rams: 63 Points

When Tom Fears entered the NFL he immediately became one of the most dynamic playmakers in the game. His explosiveness definitely helped the transition from the position being referred to as ‘end’ to ‘wide receiver.’ In 1951 he helped lead the Rams to an NFL Championship and his place in Rams’ history is incredibly secure.

Fears led the league in receptions in his first three seasons in the NFL (catching more passes each year). He also led the NFL in receiving yards and touchdown receptions once. In 1949 and 1950 he put together back-to-back 1000-yard receiving seasons — especially impressive given the time period. He only played nine seasons in the NFL, but he certainly made the most of them.
