Matt Asiata-RB-Minnesota Vikings (31.2%)

Asiata is the last man standing in Minnesota’s backfield.  Adrian Peterson looks like he won’t play a snap this season and Jerick McKinnon has been placed on season-ending IR  with a back injury.

In the last two weeks, Asiata has gotten more than 50 yards rushing although he hasn’t found the end zone since his three-touchdown binge against the Redskins in week nine.  Asiata will get plenty of work going forward which makes him a desperation play if you can’t get any of the backs listed higher on this list who represent more upside.

Asiata’s value is almost entirely touchdown-dependent this week as he takes on the Lions tough run defense.  He does tend to score touchdowns in bunches, so if you’re feeling lucky or desperate you can roll the dice on him from the week 15 waiver wire.  He does finish with better matchups against the Dolphins and Bears, but his main value is just from the fact that he will start and get touches which makes him worth owning in deep leagues.
