A chlorine gas leak at a Chicago hotel over the weekend sent 19 people to the hospital while also interrupting a Furry convention.
If you know what a Furry is and can grasp the thought of hundreds of them huddled together on a cold December night, good for you. If not, then you’ll the next to learn after MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski, who reported on the leak in her typical news reporter style. That is, until she began to realize just exactly what a Furry is.
“Did I get it wrong?” asks Brzezinski when sputtering a bit on the words ‘Furry convention.”
We’ll jut let the video do the rest:
Yes, the flash sprinting down the studio like Jordy Nelson through the Falcons defense would be Brzezinski.
While the news of chlorine gas leaks fall under the serious category, sometimes life grants newscasters the opportunity to truly have a lighthearted moment, something definitely in need of considering that police brutality and CIA torture techniques have dominated the headlines lately. Those criticizing Brzezinski’s “professionalism” in the wake of her enlightened moment should also become acquainted with phrases such as “lighten up” and “settle down.”
Either that or perhaps you may be fighting the inner Furry in you, in which case means you should probably go online and find where the nearest convention is, giving you the chance to meet new friends and embrace a different side you never knew existed.
