19. Marv Levy (1978-1997)

Marv Levy coached a handful of Hall of Fame players in his 19 years as Buffalo Bills Head Coach. Most notable among them was of course Jim Kelly, who has recently dealt with cancer in a very public yet classy and inspirational manner. The older Levy has had known health issues in recent years, but is still kicking.

On the gridiron those members of the Bills organization were solid rocks. If not for the two of them, four consecutive Super Bowl appearances probably would not have been an accomplishment had by the Buffalo Bills. Obviously no one, Levy included, is going to look back and smile incessantly about four straight Super Bowl losses.

But it’s also unlikely anyone from those teams is going to curse their brains out over it. It is still a unique accomplishment, one that may not have come true if not for Kicker Scott Norwood.

For his career Levy managed an impressive .561 win percentage with eight playoff seasons and .579 playoff win percentage. And one should not forget, four Super Bowl appearances means four conference championships.
