Clearly the third best shooting guard of all time behind Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant; Dwyane Wade fits comfortably on this list and statistically rivals Kobe in nearly every way except unfortunately durability.
A phenomenal two-way player, Wade has been cut down by injuries in the latter parts of his career. As Jalen Rose says it’s more Flashes than Flash now, as years of throwing his body around with reckless abandon have caught up to Wade. So it’s easy to forget how good Wade was, an offensive force of nature who averaged at his zenith 30.2 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 7.5 APG and a combined 3.5 blocks and steal in the 08-09 season.
Flash was the best player on the 05-06 Heat championship team, where he put up what ESPN’s John Hollinger rated as the greatest individual Finals performance of all time, averaging 39.3 PPG and 8.3 RPG with a 33.8 PER. Not the greatest Finals performance since Jordan, but including Jordan.
