No. 32-29

32. Blake Bortles – Jacksonville Jaguars – Power Ranking Score: 124.1

There’s not a lot new to say about Blake Bortles. He’s still an interesting long term prospect, but he’s not currently a very good starting QB. His Power Ranking Score continues to be the lowest of all the current NFL QBs and its really not even close. When you score out worse than Geno Smith, that’s not good.

31. Geno Smith – New York Jets – Power Ranking Score: 140.7

I feel bad for fans of the Jets. It’s time for them to move on from Rex Ryan. It’s time for them to move on from Geno Smith. This season can’t seem to end fast enough in New York. I still think there is some talent in Geno, but he shouldn’t even sniff a starting job next season.

30. Josh McCown – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Power Ranking Score: 173.2 (-1)

Can someone explain to me why the Buccaneers are starting Josh McCown? The Bucs have two wins and they are playing a veteran journeyman QB who is clearly not their long term answer at the position. I’m not saying Mike Glennon is either, but at least he still has a tiny bit of upside.

29. Jake Locker – Tennessee Titans – Power Ranking Score: 175.9

Just when Zach Mettenberger was looking like he might be a possible long term option for the Titans his season was ended by injury. So now Tennessee is turning back to Jake Locker for the remainder of the season after making it clear that he wasn’t in their long term plans anymore. I may be one of the few that still thinks Locker could be a NFL starter, but he definitely needs a change of scenery.
