No. 24-21

24. Kyle Orton – Buffalo Bills – Power Ranking Score: 201.3 (-5)

When Kyle Orton took over for EJ Manuel the initial results were very positive, but the longer he plays the more he looks more like a backup than an NFL starter. Orton is a caretaker for the Buffalo offense, but if they want to be a playoff team they are going to need more than a caretaker.

23. Teddy Bridgewater – Minnesota Vikings – Power Ranking Score: 205.3 (+3)

It was just a few weeks ago when Bridgewater was right down at the bottom of these rankings with Blake Bortles. Now Teddy is slowly climbing out of the bottom ranks and seems to be starting to settle in as the season winds down. For a while it looked like Derek Carr might be the best rookie from this class, but I’ve got my money on Bridgewater.

22. Colin Kaepernick – San Francisco – Power Ranking Score: 210.1 (-4)

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Colin Kaepernick’s stock is falling just as fast as the 49ers playoff chances. Something just doesn’t seem right him. He’s always had some issues as a pure passer, but he just seems to have lost his confidence. With his head coach unlikely to return next season there is some uncertainty in Kaep’s future.

21. Shaun Hill – St. Louis Rams – Power Ranking Score: 213.6 (+1)

I’ll give Shaun Hill credit, he’s played much better than I expected him to. I would have placed him in the same category as Drew Stanton, but he’s proven to be better than that. Here’s the dilemma for the Rams, Hill has been solid, but has be been good enough for them to give him a shot at the job next season? I don’t know, but frankly I have as much faith in him as I do Sam Bradford at this point.
